Frequently Asked Questions

This largely depends on the nature of the role and hiring organisation.

Generally, higher roles with greater responsibility generate a higher fee

This is due to a more thorough vetting process, greater marketing expenditure to find the right candidate, the requirement of technical and competency interviews and more.

For permanent employees, the average range is 15-30% of the first year’s salary.

Here at Across Business we tailor our package to suit your budget.

Recruiting personnel is a time consuming process.

Producing attractive adverts, benchmarking salaries, reviewing CV’s, assessing the relevance of experience and educational achievements, shortlisting and interviewing candidates can really take time out of your day. It becomes clear to see what the benefits of appointing a recruitment agency are.

For a fee, we take all of this pressure away from you, simply put, your time is better served concentrating on your business.

Recruiters are employed by clients, but work for both client and candidates.

Clients provide job vacancies, recruiters market the vacancy, shortlist and select appropriate candidates for interview

If the candidate put forward by the recruiter is successful, the client will pay the recruiter a finders fee, which is typically based on a percentage of a successful candidates salary.

There is no cost for the candidate to use our recruitment service and the candidate is not disadvantaged by using our recruitment service.

We have a range of candidates on our database at any one time. Some are available immediately, some are subject to 2-3 month notice periods.

We will adjust our marketing strategy in order to find a candidate that can work towards your timescale.

We’re a reputable, customer focussed finance recruitment agency with an array of professional finance expertise.

By submitting your CV, we’ll register you on our database and when an employer posts a vacancy with us, if you’re the right fit, you’ll be front of the queue and very well placed.

Never. We will always contact to you first to seek your authorisation.

We acknowledge all applications by e-mail. If we think you are a good fit for a role, we will contact you within 2-3 working days.

If we have not contacted you in this time, it may be that you are not a suitable fit for our clients requirements at this time, or your application is still under consideration.

We do endeavour to respond to all applicants.

In the initial stages we keep our client’s profile confidential. We are happy to provide you with an approximate area/sector/size but will not disclose our client’s business name until you are invited to an interview with them.
