Financial Accountant
The role of Financial Accountant primarily focuses on the production of the Statement of Profit and Loss (P&L) and the Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet). The Financial Accountant will also be responsible for implementing financial controls and processes whilst ensuring the business remains compliant with the legal framework in which it operates.
Key Duties
Manage the statutory accounts production and compliance processes ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and deadlines.
Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable
Manage the year end audit and main contact point for the external auditors
Balance sheet reconciliation
Ensure cashflow is forecast and utilised properly, in order to protect reserves
Oversee the tax compliance processes (Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE and NIC)
Design and implement finance processes to ensure that robust controls are in place and maintained
Treasury management and foreign exchange risk management
Intercompany transactions
Year end journals
Maintenance of the group’s fixed asset registers focusing on additions, disposals and depreciation
Company secretarial duties
